Natwest, Nationwide and RBS get banking apps from Google Play for Samsung S10 users

At least three top UK banks have accessed their mobile banking apps from the Google Play Store for Samsung S10 users because of concerns that the fingerprint function could be unlocked by anyone, not just the phone owner.

British banks cited reports of “security concerns”.

NatWest Bank, Nationwide and Royal Bank of Scotland (RBS) are among the first to notify customers on Twitter that they have denied access to the app and cite reports of “security concerns”.
