Apple buys Turi for $ 200 million



With artificial intelligence clearly the next big thing for tech giants, Apple is buying a machine learning startup in Seattle.

The company has confirmed to Recode that it is buying Turi, formerly known as GraphLab and Dato. It grew out of the GraphLab open source project that companies like Pandora used to support recommendations.
