On January 20, 2021, President Biden issued an order extending the student loan payment and the interest freeze until September 30, 2021. This suspension has been in effect since March 13, 2020.
This is obviously welcome news for federal loan borrowers. However, the order still leaves borrowers with FFEL, Perkins, and private student loans out.
