Nigerian challenger bank Kuda raised $ 25 million in Series A funding in a round led by Valar Ventures.
The round is the first time that the VC, supported by Peter Thiel, has invested in an African start-up. The other fundraiser in raising funds is Target Global, an existing Kuda investor.
The Kuda Bank was founded in 2017 and is called “the bank of the free”. It offers a free virtual account and associated debit card.
