EC is investigating Dutch and Polish banking groups for access to fintech


Unannounced inspections are a first step towards suspected anti-competitive practices

The European Commission (EC) has confirmed that its officials in “some Member States” have carried out unannounced controls on online access to bank account information by competing service providers.

The EC does not name the countries involved, but rather “according to experts” who spoke with the Financial Times, Poland and the Netherlands are among them.
